LINET's smart solution received prestigious award
That LINET is truly an innovative company was confirmed during this year’s Technology Agency of the Czech Republic Awards. The outcome of the cooperation between LINET and University of Hradec Králové, the "Development of an intelligent system of electronic management of a specialized hospital bed for patients in a critical condition" project, became the winner in the Business category.
The award went to an intelligent healthcare bed for patients in a critical condition. In cooperation with the University of Hradec Králové, LINET designed a system that detects the patient’s movements in bed and monitors their breathing and heart rate. At the same time, it can also determine whether the patient is in bed and whether they are at a risk. All data is transferred to a computer.
"When developing the solution, we focused on three goals, namely the prevention of pressure injuries, infection control and simplifying the work of nurses, who are often overworked. The result is an intelligent bed that may not only be positioned, but is also able to monitor patients, and thereby significantly helps those in a critical condition as well as the medical staff," explained Vít Karvay, Technical Director of LINET.
As a proof that it is truly innovative, the solution received an award in the Business category during this year’s Czech Technology Agency Awards. "The development could not be realized without the cooperation of all. Thank you to the whole team for a great job!" says Vít Karvay.
