The first round won for AVE 2 in Romania
The AVE 2 bed, which is designed for supporting natural births and offers mothers an exceptional number of birthing positions, was met with a great reception in Romania at the first International Perinatal TOTAL Health Congress. This was despite the specific approach that is taken in Romanian obstetrics, which is characterised by a strong representation of births by caesarean section. In the number of acute births by caesarean section, Romania is actually ranked first among all European countries.
"Despite this slightly unfavourable starting position, both the AVE 2 bed and the workshop on natural childbirth were a great success. During the presentations, even charged debates full of substantive arguments and inspirational moments often broke out," says Tereza Halfarová, marketing product manager for the obstetrics and paediatrics segment. "I consider our participation in the congress a successful start to our work in this challenging yet promising segment of Romanian health care," she adds.
In addition to the AVE 2 birthing bed, LINET presented the Gracie gynaecological workplace and the paediatric portfolio, including the unique TOM 2 bed, at the congress together with the local partner company Technoplus Medical.
