LINET opens new subsidiary in Sao Paulo
On 6 April, on the premises of the Association of Private Hospitals in Sao Paulo, LINET officially opened its subsidiary company LINET do Brasil. The Brazilian subsidiary is wholly owned by its Czech parent company.
The official grand opening of LINET do Brasil took place at the headquarters of the National Association of Private Hospitals (ANAHP) and was attended by 60 representatives from various hospitals and healthcare facilities. The event was commenced by the head of the Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Sao Paulo Pavla Havrlíková, who spoke of LINET Group’s industrial tradition and importance in the Czech Republic: “For us, LINET is an example of a successful company which, in a mere 25 years of existence, has built from the ground up a prospering business that continues to broaden its sphere of activity throughout the world.”
Another of the speakers was LINET’s head of global sales Rolf Pekař: “Overcoming the economic crisis in Brazil is a matter of time, and once the situation has improved, the company will have positioned itself to deliver the solutions that the market demands.”
LINET is wagering on new technologies, patient safety and mobility, ergonomics, and disease prevention. Martin Lošťák, CEO of LINET do Brasil, presented several exclusive solutions, such as an automatic dual-voltage power supply and a new electrostatic surface coating that is more resistant to corrosion. “In Brazil, the primary advantages that the Czech manufacturer has over foreign competitors are its very strict quality control mechanisms and better cost-benefit ratio,” says Lošťák.
Doctor Gonzalo Vecina, who was the CEO of a prestigious Syrian-Lebanese hospital (Hospital Sírio-Libanes) in 2013 when LINET won a contract to supply beds to the facility, spoke of his experience with LINET’s products and closed out his talk with a lecture addressing the topic of safety in healthcare.
